Our study sites are located in French Guiana, New Caledonia, Guadeloupe, Brazil and Vietnam and cover all the geomorphological spectra found in the tropics with various degrees of eutrophication, including tidal estuaries, lagoons, river deltas and their plumes on the continental shelves, terrigenous and carbonated mangroves, open coast, estuarine, lagoonal and deltaic mangroves.
